A graduation gift has a harder job than an ordinary one. There is a fifth check that is not about the pen at all: what they will write on. Why a dated planner is the wrong graduation gift
Graduation lands in late spring or midsummer. A dated planner runs January to December. Give one in June and you have handed over a book with half its pages already spent and no room for the academic year the recipient may be about to start.
