The short answer

How we judged these, before any ranking

Why a fountain pen is first, and why it might still be wrong for you
No pressure at all is not a marketing line, it is how the instrument works: ink moves down the feed by capillary action and the nib only has to touch the paper. Anybody who has spent an evening writing knows the difference between touching paper and pressing into it.
