No certifications claimed. ## What this site is An independent guide to planner, pen, desk and notebook gifts, organized by who the buyer is shopping for rather than by product category. Ten stationery gift guides were read while planning the site and every one organizes by product type; none organizes by recipient, and only one prices most of its picks. Both gaps are the reason this site exists. The launch inventory is written for the 2027 planner season. Nine of the ten competitors surveyed on 2026-09-01 were still on the 2026 season. ## What this site does not claim - We have NOT handled, tested or used any product recommended here. There is no test lab and no sample cupboard. This is stated on every page that recommends a product. - We publish no ratings or scores of our own, and emit no Review or AggregateRating structured data, because a score implies a test. - No credentials, no expert panel, no claim of tenure or years of experience. - No testimonials. The site launched in 2026 and has no customers to quote. - No fabricated prices, review counts or sales figures. ## What it does instead - Compiles the specifications manufacturers and retailers publish, and cites each one with a link to where it is stated. - Explicitly marks figures the makers decline to publish. Notebook makers publish paper weight in gsm almost universally; planner makers mostly do not, and three of the six planners covered here state no weight at all. Rendering that gap is a deliberate part of the method. - Does the arithmetic: cost per week of planner use, page count against paper weight, keyboard-plus-mouse width against desk pad size. - Names at least one product it would not buy in every roundup, and gives every individual pick a skip-this-if line. - Attaches a live retailer price stamped with the date checked. Prices older than 48 hours are hidden rather than shown stale. No price is ever recalled from memory; where none is live the page says Check price. ## Funding Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. It assumes the buyer knows the layout the recipient uses, the month their year starts, and that they have not already bought one. An undated planner removes two of those three risks. - Paper weight in gsm predicts show-through; paper sizing predicts feathering. Weight is published, sizing is not. 70 gsm ghosts with gel and fountain ink, 80 gsm handles most gel, 90 gsm handles most fountain pens. - Heavier paper means fewer sheets in the same book thickness: 90 gsm gives about 160 pages where 80 gsm gives 251. That trade is rarely disclosed. - Desk pad sizing is arithmetic: a full-size keyboard is about 17.5 inches wide and a mouse needs about 10 inches beside it, so a pad under roughly 30 inches wide fails a keyboard-and-mouse setup. - Teachers plan on a July-to-June academic year, so a January-to-December planner is a poor gift for one. - Japanese fountain pen nibs run about one step finer than European nibs with the same letter. Almost no maker publishes a nib width in millimeters. - Hobonichi and Erin Condren are covered informationally only.
